* The top-rated 15 players from A will play in Premier with the winner of the 2001 A division, Amit Chakrabarti.

Players will be assigned to divisions based on 1 April 2002 ratings. Those within 100 points
of the cutoff may play up at their request and the directors' discretion.

FORMAT
This 15-game event will be computer-paired by John with a modified Fontes Swiss-style system.
Standings will be calculated based on wins & spread (not credits).
At least 30% of each division's entry fee will go to the division winner.

Tournament registrations must be postmarked by 29 March 2002. NO walk-ins.

DIRECTIONS
The Marriott Peabody is located at Exit 28 (Forest Street/Centennial Drive) on Rte 128, a mere four miles north of last year's BAT site. For more detailed directions, including those by public transportation, click here.

NOTES
  • The National Scrabble® Association requires that all but first-time participants be current members of the NSA. Bring membership cards or current newsletters to show status.
  • Please bring deluxe boards and game timers.
  • All playing facilities are handicapped accessible. During room registration, please mention handicap room needs.
  • All hotel guests can use the hotel's pool, jacuzzi, and exercise equipment for free.
  • To defray the cost of the playing facilities, all playing attendees who are not staying at the hotel on the Scrabble® package are required to pay a $15 commuter fee.
  • The first 25 entries will be eligible for an early-bird prize.
  • Registrations mailed after 29 March 2002 will be assessed a $10 late fee and accepted on a division-evening basis only.
  • Players unsure about Premier eligibility are asked to send the higher entry fee and $15 will be reimbursed during registration if necessary. Please monitor web site for registration status.
