Hotel Arrangements:

Situated on the ocean, the Sea Crest offers two-night room rates of $99.25 ppdo ($192.50 ppso, $75.48 ppto), which includes room taxes only. Please note: This much lower hotel fee does not include any meals this year. The hotel invites all guests and attendees to purchase meals in the oceanside dining room. The hotel strongly encourages Saturday evening reservations for those planning to dine on site. Hotel deposits of $50 pp must be received by the tournament director before 30 September 2003. IMPORTANT: the Sea Crest will only refund full room deposits with an 8-day notice.

Entry Fee:
There is a $45 (div 2, 3, 4)/$60 (div 1) pp non-refundable registration fee (includes a rating fee).

Divisions:
Players will divided into four groups based on 1 October 2003 ratings:
Division 1 (1700 and higher)
Division 2 (1699-1400)
Division 3 (1399-1100)
Division 4 (1099 and lower)

Pairs Tournament

A longtime favorite, pairs SCRABBLE® pits one team of two players (who choose each other and play all their games together) against another team of two. Instead of 50-minute rounds, we'll use 60-minute rounds (allotting 30 minutes to each side) to permit more time for communication within each team. Understandably, most players find these games less stressful and more fun. Depending on the number of registrants, there will be two or three divisions. Each pairs division will be determined by the average of both player's ratings (but no more than 100 points lower than higher rated player's rating). Number of registrants will affect prizes. All pairs registration fees will be returned as prizes after expenses.
