Below are the top ten finishers, with pre-tournament ratings, in Divisions 1 to 4 of the Eastern Championship, held over President's Day Weekend.

DIVISION 1 (34 players)
Three-time national champion Joe Edley won his final 11 games to become the first 3-time Eastern Champion. Joe needed only to lose by fewer than 292 points to Matt Graham in the final round to clinch, actually winning 382-332.

Anthony Famularo of Toronto, who at 1052 chose to play up, upped his rating by a bushelful of points with a 12-8 finish against a field averaging more than 200 rating points above him.

Susan K. Greene won a Hasbro-Milton Bradley prize with a non-bingo high play of 109 for ZAPS, which topped all divisions.
