Are you ready to ready to move your game out of the living room? Beaten everyone on your block?
Here's your chance to show what you've got! Play SCRABBLE®, get a rating, kibitz
the experts! This is a 5-round tournament for newcomers and enthusiasts being run concurrently
with the regular Eastern Championship Tournament.
PRIZES:
Prizes will consist of cash and useful SCRABBLE® paraphernalia. We anticipate a top
prize of about $50 based on last year's turnout.
ENTRY FEE: $20. Includes coffee break and NSA rating fee.
You MUST register in advance. Absolutely no walk-ins.
ELIGIBILITY:
Open only to unrated players and players rated under 1100. Note: unrated players do not
have be NSA (National SCRABBLE Association) members; rated players must be members or join
at the tournament.

REFRESHMENTS:
There will be a coffee break (coffee, tea, soda, cookies and more) for all SCRABBLE®
players Saturday afternoon.
SCHEDULE:
9:30 AM to 10:45 AM--registration and orientation. Please arrive as early as possible.
Play will start promptly at 11:00.
There will be a mid-afternoon coffee break.
Awards at 5:00 PM.
Please bring deluxe (turntable) game boards, tiles, and a chess clock if you have one.
We will have chess clocks for sale or rent ($3); the rental charge can be applied toward
purchase of a clock.
Note: smooth-faced tiles are preferred but not required for tournament play; if you wish
to use these they will also be available for sale or rent ($2).
